Advanced combination treatmentsSeparately bookable combinations offered at Marissa's discretion when appropriate for your skin, goals and treatment plan.

These are more advanced treatments where I combine techniques that complement each other to target multiple concerns at once. Depending on your skin, that might mean dermaplaning before nano-infusion or microneedling, microdermabrasion with nano-infusion, or another combination I feel is appropriate. Some of these treatments require the skin to be gradually conditioned first, so we may need to build up to them over time. I'd rather get your skin genuinely ready for a treatment than push it too quickly and create irritation, inflammation or unnecessary downtime.

When I reach for each combination

Dermaplaning + Exfoliant Accelerator 35

— when someone has buildup, dullness or rough texture and I want a little more exfoliation than dermaplaning alone, without jumping straight to a peel.

Dermaplaning + Microneedling

— for appropriately conditioned skin when I want to remove surface buildup first and then focus more deeply on texture, acne scarring, fine lines or collagen remodeling.

Chemical Peel + Microneedling

— one of my more advanced combinations. I use it selectively for properly prepped, resilient skin when we're trying to address both surface discoloration and texture and deeper corrective concerns. This is absolutely something I build patients up to.

Dermaplaning + Nano-Infusion

— when I want smoother, brighter skin and better product penetration with very little downtime. Great when someone wants more than a basic facial but isn't ready for microneedling.

Microdermabrasion + Nano-Infusion

— when the skin needs more resurfacing than dermaplaning alone and I want to follow that exfoliation with a hydrating or corrective infusion. I especially like this for rough, dull or congested-looking skin that can tolerate the extra exfoliation.

The big theme for me is I don't stack treatments just to make them stronger. I combine them when each step has a reason for being there and the patient's skin is actually ready for it.

More aggressive does not mean better results

Skin responds best when treatments are intentional, appropriately timed and built around what your skin can actually tolerate. Sometimes the best thing I can do for you is not the treatment you came in asking for that day. I'm always going to prioritize getting you a beautiful result without putting your skin through unnecessary damage just because a treatment is available.

Good to know

Before your visit

How to prepare

  • Come in calm, healthy and well hydrated — no sunburn, tanning or new aggressive skincare right before.
  • Depending on the combination, I may pause retinoids, acids, scrubs or benzoyl peroxide beforehand.
  • No waxing or other resurfacing in the area.
  • I'll give you specific instructions once we decide what we're doing.
  • If your skin isn't ready that day, we change the plan — we don't force it.

The days after

Downtime and aftercare

  • Downtime depends on what we combine — from a little pink and dry to several days of redness, tightness, flaking or peeling.
  • I'll tell you exactly what to expect based on what we did.
  • Keep it simple: gentle cleansing, lots of hydration and barrier support, SPF every single day.
  • No picking or scrubbing; pause retinoids, acids, heat, sweat and sun while you heal.
  • Let your skin do the work — don't keep attacking it at home.

Going forward

How often

  • There isn't one schedule for every combination.
  • Lighter combinations about monthly; anything with microneedling, stronger exfoliation or a peel needs more recovery between sessions.
  • Single treatment, short corrective series or ongoing maintenance — decided by your concern and how your skin responds.
  • With advanced combinations especially, your skin decides the schedule.

Common questions

Why can't I just do the strongest combination right away?

Because stronger is not automatically better. Some skin needs to be gradually conditioned before it can safely tolerate more advanced treatment.

Why are these at Marissa's discretion, and how do I ask for one?

These combinations can be amazing, but more treatment is not always better. I have to look at your skin barrier, sensitivity, current routine, treatment history and what we're actually trying to accomplish before deciding whether combining services makes sense. Some patients also need time to gradually condition their skin before we can safely move into more advanced combinations. You can absolutely ask me about one, but I'd rather you tell me what you want to improve and let me decide whether that combination, or something else, will get you there safely.

Can I book a combination online?

These are arranged with Marissa rather than booked online. Start with the treatment you're interested in or a Skin Consultation, and she'll plan the right combination with you.

Timing and suitability are confirmed with Marissa. Results vary by person.

Who it’s for

A good fit

  • A more corrective approach to texture, acne scarring, fine lines, pigmentation or dullness
  • Skin I've had time to learn — these aren't necessarily first-appointment treatments
  • You're willing to build up to it: your barrier, sensitivity, home care and treatment history all matter

Pause and ask first

  • Active irritation, sunburn, open skin, a cold sore, infection, inflamed acne, or an eczema or rosacea flare in the area — wait until the skin is calm
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, isotretinoin, prescription retinoids, blood thinners, steroids or other medications that can affect healing
  • A history of poor wound healing or keloids
  • Any recent laser, peel, microneedling, injectable or surgical procedure
