Which length should I book?
Lunchtime (30 minutes) is a results-focused express facial. Signature (60 minutes) is the fully customized facial most people choose. Ultimate (90 minutes) adds extended time to address several concerns in one visit. If you are unsure, book a Skin Consultation and we will plan it with you.
New here?start with the Discovery Facial
The Discovery Facial is where I get to actually learn your skin while treating it. We'll talk through your concerns, current routine, treatment history and goals, then I'll work with your skin and see how it responds in real time. You'll still receive a complete facial, but the bigger purpose is giving me a solid starting point so I can recommend what actually makes sense for you going forward. I'd much rather see and feel your skin than guess from across a consultation table. Advanced modalities aren't included in this appointment; this is about understanding your skin first and building the right plan from there.
It's for all new patients, and for anyone who hasn't had a service with me in the last 3 months. Most people only need one. From there, I'll recommend a treatment schedule based on your skin, goals, budget, and how aggressively you want to address your concerns. Some patients move into monthly Customized Facials, while others benefit more from a corrective series such as peels, microneedling, or another targeted treatment.
How it's different from a Skin Consultation
With the Discovery Facial I get to assess your skin while actually working with it. You receive a full 60-minute facial, and I get to see things I simply cannot learn from looking at your skin for a few minutes: how it feels, how it responds to products, where you are sensitive, where there is buildup, and how healthy the barrier really is. A Skin Consultation is more conversation and planning without the full treatment. I'd recommend that instead if you have a complicated skin history, are using several prescriptions, have a condition we need to discuss first, or you're primarily interested in building a corrective treatment plan before doing anything to the skin.
Before you come
Keep your routine pretty normal and avoid doing anything unusually aggressive right before your appointment; I want to see your skin as close to its normal state as possible. Please take photos of the skincare products you are currently using, or bring the bottles with you. Come prepared with a list of your medications, including prescriptions, acne medications, hormones, supplements, and anything topical prescribed for your skin. You can come with or without makeup. If you've recently had injectables, laser, microneedling, a chemical peel, or another procedure, let me know when it was done.
The Discovery Facial is a judgment-free starting point. You do not need a perfect routine or to know exactly what your skin needs. Bring what you are using, be honest about what has and has not worked, and I will help simplify things. I want to keep what is working, change what is not, and create a realistic plan we can build on over time.
Good to know
Before your visit
How to prepare
- Come as you are — makeup is fine, I'll remove it.
- Skip a fresh sunburn or anything aggressive right before.
- Tell me about retinoids, acids or prescription skincare so I can plan around them.
The days after
Downtime and aftercare
- Usually little to none — maybe a little pink from extractions or exfoliation.
- Keep things simple that day and follow anything I flag.
- Wear your SPF.
Going forward
How often
- Once a month keeps skin on track.
- Every two weeks (or weekly) while we're actively working on something.
- We'll find a rhythm that fits your skin and your life.
Common questions
What is included in a custom facial?
Whatever your skin needs that day, within the time you booked: professional exfoliation, extractions, targeted masks, and — in the Signature and Ultimate — dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, or other appropriate modalities. Enhancements are included when appropriate; there is no à la carte add-on list.
Do I need to pick add-ons when I book?
No. We take care of that for you based on your skin on the day.
Do I need to know what treatment I need before my Discovery Facial?
No. That is the whole point of the Discovery Facial. Tell me what bothers you and what you would like to improve, and I will help figure out the best direction.
Should I bring my skincare products?
Yes. Bring the bottles or photos of everything you currently use, including prescription products. It helps me see the full picture instead of guessing.
Do you need to know my medications?
Yes. Please bring a current medication list, including prescriptions, supplements, hormones, and topical medications. Some can affect sensitivity, healing, or what treatments are appropriate.
Will I leave with product recommendations?
If your routine needs changes, yes. I will explain what I think is helping, what may be working against you, and what I would prioritize first. I am not interested in replacing products just for the sake of selling you something.
Can we do an advanced treatment during my Discovery Facial?
No. This appointment is intentionally kept basic so I can assess your skin safely and learn how it responds before we move into more advanced treatments.
Times shown are treatment time. Your calendar block may be a little longer to allow for changeover.
