What the treatment is
Sixty minutes of treatment time: cleansing, professional dermaplaning across the face, then skincare customized to your skin that day, including home-care and product recommendations.
What to expect afterward
Skin usually looks brighter right away and feels very smooth. Sun protection matters more than usual for the next few days; we’ll tell you what is typical for your skin.

How to prepare
- Clean skin if you can — makeup's fine, I'll remove it.
- For a few days before: no retinoids, acids, scrubs or waxing on the area.
- Don't come in with a fresh sunburn.
The days after
Downtime and aftercare
- Very little downtime, maybe brief pinkness.
- Skip actives and strong exfoliation for a few days.
- Hands off your (very smooth) face; clean pillowcase that night.
- SPF daily.

Common questions
What is dermaplaning?
A manual exfoliation that gently removes dull surface buildup and fine facial hair, so skin looks brighter and feels exceptionally smooth. Customized skincare completes the facial.
Will my hair grow back thicker or darker?
No. Dermaplaning does not change the thickness, color, or growth pattern of your hair — we're removing hair at the surface of the skin, not changing the follicle underneath. Your peach fuzz grows back the same way it did before. It may feel a little different at first because the hair was cut straight across, but it isn't actually thicker or darker.
Can dermaplaning be added to another treatment?
Dermaplaning is included in the Signature and Ultimate Custom Facials when appropriate for your skin. For select peel or microneedling appointments, Marissa may add a dermaplaning enhancement when she determines it is appropriate — it is not booked separately online.
Timing and results vary by person — we confirm specifics in your visit.
